  • Turmeric – I have use fresh ginger here which is laoded with anti-inflammatory, detoxing and great healing properties. But you can also use orangic turmeric power if fresh roots are not handy to you. Usually 1tbsp of raw grated turmeric gives 1 tsp of powder
  • Ginger – Ginger is also good source of anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties and delivers a warm and spicy flavor
  • Orange and Lemon Juice – Gives the citrusy and natural sweet flavor to the drink
  • Black Pepper – Helps to absorb the curcumin from the turmeric
  • Honey or Maple Syrup – You can enjoy the shot as it is or you can also sweeten the drink with honey or maple syrup

How to make Turmeric Shots?

The recipe I have shared here is Turmeric Shots with ginger, lemon, and orange juice. I have also added crushed peppercorns which help to absorb the curcumin in the turmeric. The quantity yields up to 10 servings and it is usually enjoyed 1 to 2 ounces in shots glass. This is a non-alcoholic drink that can be enjoyed by adults and children. And make sure to consume the recommended levels to enjoy its full health benefits.

  • Chop the Turmeric– Wash the turmeric knobs in running water and pat them dry. Chop them into small pieces and reserve them for later use
  • Juice the Orange – Take 3 oranges and cut them in half. Squeeze the juice from the fruit using a handheld juicer and reserve them for later use. I have used fresh oranges here but you can also use 100% real fruit orange juice that is sugar-free
  • Juice the Lemon – Cut the three lemons in half and squeeze the juice from it
  • Blend the Ingredients Now in a blender jar, add the chopped turmeric, ginger, lemon juice, orange juice, and water. Close the lid and blend until everything turns smooth on a blender
  • Filter – Remove and filter the turmeric ginger mixture using a fine-mesh strainer. Make sure to mix well to extract the last drop of juice from the mixture
  • Pour and Serve – Pour the Turmeric shot into a serving shot glass and add honey or maple syrup to sweeten the drink. Serve this healthy and detoxing Turmeric Shot first thing in the morning to enjoy its full benefits. We usually consume 2 ounces or 60 ml per day for potential health benefits
