Enjoy the flavors of summer with this delicious mocktail.
There are a few drinks that epitomize summer. Fresh lemonade, iced tea, margaritas, and mojitos come to mind when you think of summer. However, a delicious beach cocktail is also on your summer must-do list. It’s refreshing and fruity and looks just like a summer sunset in a glass.
Of course, we don’t want any old cocktails from Sex on The Beach. We want someone who doesn’t have alcohol, something that everyone can enjoy. We want virgin sex on the beach! So, we created one!
Summer must drink
We took the classic flavors of the Sex on the Beach cocktail, removed all the alcohol and then added our own twist. It’s a drink we know you’ll love. It will probably be your favorite summer drink. We know we make it nonstop!
The original Sex on the Beach cocktail was created in a Florida bar. Bartenders were challenged to sell as much of the peach liqueur as possible to boost the new spirit.
A man named Ted Pizzo won the challenge by making a fruity cocktail and naming it after the reason people visit the area – to have sex on the beach! The drink was an instant success and quickly spread throughout the country.
The classic cocktail consists of orange juice, cranberry juice, peach syrup, vodka and cherry syrup. For our virgin version, we removed the vodka immediately. Without vodka, the drink is much richer and more effective.
There is no need to substitute or substitute a new ingredient when removing the vodka because it does not add much to the drink in terms of flavor. Goodbye vodka! Nobody will miss you!
We wanted to replace the peach liqueur with something equally peachy. Peach nectar is the perfect choice. Peach nectar sweetened peach puree. You can find peach nectar at the grocery store along with other packaged tropical juices. You can also choose to make your own peach nectar.
Peel and pit two peaches and add them to a blender with 1 tablespoon of honey, ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract, a pinch of salt and 1 cup of water. Mash it until very smooth and then use your nectar to make this perfect drink! Homemade peach nectar will keep in the refrigerator for about two weeks when covered and kept cool.
We love how delicious this mocktail looks when all the ingredients are poured into the glass in layers. The colors fade together and really look like a summer sunset.
You can also try adding all the ingredients to a cocktail shaker, shaking it and then pouring it into a martini glass. This drink will give a great presentation and give your guests a fun little show as you shake up some delicious drinks.
If you are looking for a classic fruity summer cocktail recipe, this is definitely one you should try. The fresh fruit flavors and beautiful colors of the drink will leave you hooked.
Drinking mocktails has never been this fun! Enjoy.
