2Towns Cider Launches Craftwell RTD Cocktails

The Oregon-based team behind 2 Towns Ciderhouse today announced Craftwell Cocktails, a line of premium cocktails made with real fruit for exceptional taste and an authentic cocktail experience for any occasion. Prioritizing taste above all else, the ready-to-drink Craftwell cocktails rely on the expertise developed over a dozen years using real fruit to make delicious cider. They are crafted in the Pacific Northwest with carefully selected ingredients that lead to a refreshing and delicious taste.

With four distinct, foundational flavors blended from premium ingredients – Pineapple Margarita, Grapefruit Paloma, Blueberry Cosmo, and Strawberry Margarita – Craftwell Cocktails looks to deliver a modernized cocktail experience. Packaged in ready-to-drink cans that are easily portable, Craftwell will allow consumers to create a unique cocktail moment just about anywhere. From the bonfire social to a day of outdoor adventure to date night, Craftwell allows consumers to live life with flavor while on the go. Each is 10.5 percent ABV and will be available in 12oz ounce cans at retail stores, bars, and restaurants beginning March 1 in Oregon and Washington.

“When we started 2 Towns Ciderhouse a dozen years ago, we used the ingenuity that’s unique to the Pacific Northwest, and people loved it,” said Nels Jewell-Larsen, Co-owner. “We’re bringing the same spirit to Craftwell, inspired by our consumers’ spirit of adventure, to craft great-tasting cocktails that are ready to drink.”

The Pineapple Margarita uses Costa Rica Gold pineapple, Key lime juice, and agave nectar, giving it a ripe pineapple forward taste that is balanced with a kick of lime, and sweetened by the agave. Our Grapefruit Paloma blends Rio Grande Ruby Red grapefruit, California Meyer lemon, and agave nectar to produce a fresh-squeezed, citrus flavor with a quenching and mild bitterness, balanced by agave sweetness. Crafted with Pacific Northwest blueberries and California lemons, the Blueberry Cosmo tastes rich, ripe, and fruity, with a pronounced blueberry forward taste and a lemon-tang finish. The Strawberry Margarita relies on strawberry juice, Mexican Key lime juice, and agave nectar to reveal a distinctly West Coast margarita experience, with big, ripe strawberry notes and blends sweet with tangy.

“We take our cocktails seriously,” said Nels. “Ourselves? Not so much. Craftwell knows that cocktails are supposed to be about fun, and we bring an irreverence to our craft that helps our consumers enjoy their time with friends while feeling good about what they’re drinking.”

Optimum Nutrition’s AmiNO Energy Carbonated RTD Enters the Fray

Optimum Nutrition released an upgraded version of their flagship product, AmiNO Energy, two months ago in July of 2018. Upon the opening doors of the 2018 Olympia, they have officially joined the carbonated energy drink market with AmiN.O Energy + Electrolytes.

This definitely came as a surprise, but we have seen many companies jumping into the carbonated market, following the revolution set in place by Bang. It only makes sense, especially when ON’s other Glanbia-owned partner company, BSN, has BSN EndoRush cans, which are downright phenomenal, but way higher in caffeine.

A lighter energy drink can

Optimum Nutrition Amino Energy RTDs

Optimum Nutrition is joining the ranks of companies putting out energy drinks. These flavors don’t look like they’ll disappoint!

The AmiN.O. Energy + Electrolyte RTD features a common formula from the powdered version of AmiN.O Energy + Electrolytes that dropped in July of 2018. What we do know about these new carbonated RTDs is that they contain 5g of amino acids (coming from mainly threonine, leucine, citrulline, and more), around 400mg electrolytes for hydration, and 100mg of caffeine – obviously a lighter dose of caffeine.

While the caffeine content may be low compared to the C4, Bang, ProSupps Mr. Hyde Power Potion RTD, and Repp Sports Raze energy drinks, this is marketed as a recovery drink with a minor amount of caffeine.

Stay tuned to PricePlow for more!

You can sign up for PricePlow’s Optimum Nutrition news and deal alerts below to get notified when new price drops, coupons, and flavors come out. These carbonated recovery cans initially will come in four different flavors: Grape, Lemonade, Blueberry, and Watermelon – blueberry grabs our attention at first since most RTDs don’t have that flavor.

Optimum Nutrition has dominated the international market for such an extended time that it won’t be long before this product takes off… if enough consumers are still cool with 100mg caffeine anymore these days!

Redcon1 Declares Total War RTD (Pre Workout in a Bottle)!

Redcon1 Total War RTD

Redcon1 is getting you ready for war in 2019!

Redcon1 made a serious push on product teasers to end 2018 on a high note, but none were more exciting than this one. Just recently they teased a cereal protein bar, and now the company has launched a new way to enjoy their top rated pre-workout Total War – straight from the bottle! Total War is already available in over a dozen flavors to suit anyone’s taste buds. Redcon1 has now taken their flagship pre-workout and bottle it into an RTD (Ready to Drink) — introducing Total War RTD.

2018: The Year of the RTD

The convenience of RTD drinks and carbonated beverages has skyrocketed during 2018 (of major note were Nutrabolt’s Cellucor C4 Carbonated Cans and the newly-launched Xtend Carbonated). With more and more brands moving into the “fridge space” area, it was only a matter of time before Redcon1 entered the fray!

Total War RTD Differences — No Pepper from Bioperine!

Redcon1 stated that they planned to deliver the same pre-workout formula as the powder version, with only one small change from the powder to the ready to drink mix — they removed the 10mg of Bioperine! Bioperine is an ingredient which helps enhance the absorption of certain ingredients, but it also comes from black pepper extract (it’s 95%). piperine) and adds a spice that likely wouldn’t set will in a can.

There are some new changes we’ve seen in the bottles, though — the AMPiberry from the powder version has been dropped (we’re still not sure what that ingredient is), and instead of Cocoteanol, we’re seeing “CocoPhenols”, which have Theobroma cocoa and camelia sinensis extract.

What’s in Total War RTD?

Redcon1 Total War RTD Grape

Grape is the first flavor to drop

Total War RTD highlights a clinical dose of 6g L-citrulline DL-malate 2:1 and 3.2g beta-alanine. Both of these propel pumps and performance during exercise. Redcon1 also has 1g of Agmatine included as an NO (Nitric Oxide) enhancer to improve blood flow and muscular pumps during exercise on top of that citrulline malate. There is 300mg of caffeine and 100mg of di-caffeine malate, which makes up the stimulant aspect. This brings the total amount of caffeine to 373mg – a very strong drink!

Awesomely, a gram of taurine, which boosts endurance on the first use, has been added too!

As Redcon1 pumps out new products you will want to keep the PricePlow alerts occupied. The initial launch is for Grape, but the earlier news is that there would be a total of six flavors available for the supplement with Sour Gummy, Strawberry Mango, Grape, Orange Crush, Rainbow Candy, and Green Apple. Always take advantage of the coupons, deals, and savings offered when new alerts are active:
