Orange Juice is a healthy, and refreshing fruit drink loaded with vitamins, and minerals. It is usually made with fresh oranges that are squeezed with handheld juicer, electric juicer or blender.

Even though there are tons of Orange Juice brands available in the market, making it at home is always healthy. As all of you know many store brought juices are added with sugar that are not good for regular consumption. And this homemade version shared here uses only fresh oranges that delivers the best and 100% real fruit juice.

Ingredients

The ingredients you will need to make this Orange Juice are fresh oranges and a few tablespoons of Lemon Juice. And this an 100% fruit juice without any added artificial sugar which is good for healthy and regular consumption.

  • Orange – I have used madarin oranges which gives the perfect sweet and tartness to the drink. And you can also use navel, clementines, tangerines, blood oranges or any other oranges thats handy to you
  • Lemon Juice – It is an optional ingredient, you can use or skip it

How to make Orange Juice?

The recipe I have shared here is the Orange Juice made with fresh mandarin oranges. I have explained how to make it in a blender as well as in a handheld juicer. The recipe does not have any artificial sweetener and it is an 100% fruit juice.

Orange Juice in a blender

  1. Peel – Peel the oranges and separate their segments
  2. Add to blender – In a blender jar, add the peeled oranges, lemon juice, and water
  3. Blend – Close the lid and blend until it turns smooth. Make sure not to over blend the fruit to avoid crushing the seeds which make the juice bitter. Alternatively you can also remove the seeds before adding the fruit to the blender jar. And you can also consume the juice with its pulp
  4. Filter – Now filter it using a fine-mesh strainer. Make sure to mix well with a spoon to extract the juice.And do not discard the pulp, you can use it to bake bread, cakes, or muffins
  5. Serve – Now the healthy and refreshing juice is ready for you to taste and enjoy

Orange Juice in a handheld juicer

  1. Cut and squeeze – Cut the oranges into half and squeeze the fruit using a handheld juicer, this method takes some time but it also delivers a fresh juice
  2. Serve – Serve this refreshing juice along with your breakfast, or quench your thirst on hot summer days
